Director Player Error : Handler not found in object

hi,

 

i have made exe run video in director. done using old version of director, 8.5 supposedly.

 

when try run video through exe, video plays in background following error(snapshot attached):

 

"handler not found in object

 

# openport

 

script error. continue?"

 

i have installed shockwave player 8.5 , put files xtra folder folder exe in lying still getting same error.

 

any appreciated.

looks in 1 of scripts in project being called not working correctly reason.

 

without seeing code it's hard tell problem may be. i'm wondering if there's 1 of old-style line continuation characters may breaking #openport handler somewhere in scripts.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
