i'm still in new user stages of using indesign. have created many ads before templates set me. need change bleed , trim new ad, using magazine specifications. gave me , i'm little confused on how set them up. i'm not sure if start standard 8.5x11 page.   full page:  7.125" x 10.125" bleed:  8.375" x 11.125" trim:  8.125" x 10.875"   any appreciated. thank you! that's weird spec, interpret mean set page size 8.125 x 10.875, , add .125 bleed on 4 sides. set top , bottom margins .375 , left , right .5 , use guides "safe zone."  alternate interpretation might 7.125 x 10.125 size use add not meant bleed. should call them , ask clarification. i have abobe reader 10 installed on xp development machine , on test windows 7 machine.  downloaded sdk adobe acrobat x.  converted 2 sample projects, activeviewvb , acrobatactivexvb visual studio 2008 visual studio 2010.  able run both project sucessfully on xp machine, encounter errros when running projects on windows 7 machine.  activeviewvb projects has "cannot create activex component" error, while acrobatactivexvb has "this program has stopped working" error.   why these samples work on xp machine not on windows 7 machine? probably because have acrobat on xp machine not on win7 machine.  , activeview requires acrobat. before describe problem, think wise describe setup. have desktop running ubuntu 11.10 only, , laptop dual-booted ubuntu 11.10 , windows 7. laptop has 640gb hard drive majority being given windows 7 partition, , ubuntu has, well, less 50gb anyway. have pertinent directories in ubuntu home dir (documents, music, etc.) mount-bound corresponding directories in windows 7 user dir. example, in fstab (i'm in windows right don't have access fstab copy , paste from) /home/tralce/documents bound /media/windows7/users/tralce/documents , files stored in windows partition. altogether it's around 100gb of data on 100,000 files. use unison under ubuntu mirror these pertinent home dirs on laptop desktop counterparts. years has worked wonderfully. here's gets weird: every , again, , more lately, files... well, change. keep home dir sorted, text files under documents, , videos under videos. but, here's example, went open small file in ~/documents, called packa...

i'm getting error 150:30 on pse8 on mac running os 10.7 following time machine recovery.  have cs6 installed , working fine.  have adobe solutions have 2 questions :  firstly, there no /library/preferences/flexnet publisher file.  can therefore go straight soltion 2 (there /library/applications support/flexnet publisher file 2 sub files)  secondly, here mess cs6 ?! you cannot recover pse time machine or use migration assistant. pse not tidy package app according apple guidelines, rather has installer strews things buckshot on hard drive. it's impossible bits migrated manually. need download , run cleanscript (you might want temporarily uninstall cs6 while going on), let manually remove broken bits of pse. check not applications, hard drive>library>application support>adobe. reinstall original media.   http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html   (in other words, 150:30 isn't problem--you haven't gotten far enough see others yet....

good morning! acer 5920 fans cycle between slow (virtually silent) & medium speeds 10.04. i've tried several newer ubuntu or ubuntu-based distros in past week , spin fans faster. hoping xubuntu better full-blown distros, no. they'll ramp fans when cpu's busy, ramp down medium speed instead of virtually silent. top shows negligible cpu use when fans running @ half-speed. there numerous confusing hits when googling fan speeds , i'm hesitant go chasing down wrong paths. disassembled lappy week ago replace cmos battery, cleverly buried in deepest depths. while in there replaced original cpu thermal pad dab of arctic silver. blew out grille @ tail end of heat tube (downstream of exhaust fan), though there minimal fuzz trapped in fins. i have same issue woth 11.10 on 3gb core 3 duo t9400 2.53ghz 3.0.0.26-generic. fan spins @ doing , never seems slow right down? have not seen related ...

hi flash cs5.   a basic fundamental issue here, getting decent movie exported flash.   i have 60fps movie (25 jerky motion [png images mc’s classic tweened across screen] , after various fps tests 60 settled on)  mc’s cars , humans , other items, mc’s have 60fps timelines, cars , humans reflections moving across screen. plays fine in flash ctrl enter. export avi , play quicktime , action not jerky, vehicle enters stage, stops, 5 secs later jumps halfway across, etc etc, should run smoothly way. likewise mov.   as swf smooth, played via browser, published file set etc, reckoned converting better.   i have used swf avi converter (iwisoft) , tried settings highest bitrate, mov wav avi, jerky, vehicles move in jumpy way, see double roof panels etc.   i have seen thread http://forums.adobe.com/thread/747600 apparent solution. saying play movie on timeline hitting enter , watch fps vary, mine stays steady @ 60 ! it says export @ 5 fps, allows c...
