i'm sending client embedded font pdf created through indesign - print booklet (and running saved postscript file through distiller) when print end, text prints odd (see right side)...     as want pdf of printers pairs, if export pdf direct indesign , run through imposeonline.com prints fine end.   so why happening pdfs created through distiller?   thanks the preferred workflow export indesign. why print postscript?   in looks if left border of page missing. many adobe programs print dialog box not have access system print dialog box. looks if page size information getting distiller instance indesign printer. should investigate if wish use print distiller workflow, need access systterm dialog box , change settings pdf file git page. hi, i've made new install of xubuntu 11.10 in old pc. seems work fine, i've got no sound. when type aplay -l in terminal system indicates there no soundcards installed. using lspci realized actual audiocard installed vt8237a/vt8251. tried reinstalling alsa-base , alsa-utils, nothing happened. tried compiling alsa-drivers scratch, wasn't successful. know how sound working? appreciated. regards cc use alsa-info-script provide detailed information. run command in terminal: code: wget http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh -o alsa-info.sh && bash alsa-info.sh choose upload option , provide link output. hello, thought plugged in new wd external hard drive macbook pro laptop went partition 1 partition work on mac accidentally had drive plugged in partitioned wrong external hard drive. can me recover stuff had on drive or rebuild partition? appreciated! as long have not written data onto deleted drive may able recover it. need install gparted , gpart code: sudo apt-get install gparted gpart then instructions on how use gparted attempt data rescue can found here . luck. i assume indesign uses acrobat xi resources generate exported pdfs.   i have many 1-7 page articles created pdfs via export function in id. read ok on pc/apple/linux based computers.   i assembled of articles 1 50 page document in id , again exported large file pdf.   several of articles inside large document exhibit problems when viewed on pad or mac running os 10.8.3 (mountain lion). pc , linux not have problem.   the problems are, quote subscriber: "each paragraph starts 'dollar' sign instead of 'th'. later 'dollar' symbol changes ' " '. same thing happens in piston ring article. doesn't happen on original pdf files.   opening files in acrobat pro xi differences not discover although assume problem somewhere in font files.   any suggestions? no, indesign not use acrobat in way export pdfs.   try establish softwre being used view pdf. in both cases quote default viewer uses apple, not adobe, technology.
