hi all,   i've got client that's running intermittent crashing problem indesign.  ordinarily "intermittent" points hardware, wanted rule out bad software first, indesign application that's crashing on system.   crashing doesn't seem correspond given task that's executed within indesign either.  imac 2.5 ghz intel core i5 (mid 2011 model), 8 gb of ram.  original imac running snow leopard indesign cs5 (7.0.4), , crashing fequently then.  numerous reasons including crashing did erase , install of os, time installing 10.8.2, , fresh install of cs5 , ran updates adobe (to 7.0.4), , ran disk permissions repair (we have not updated 10.8.3 due reports i've seen of more crashing indesign cs5).  fonts , indesign application support files ~/library migrated on manually, no other user data.  crashing occurs within 2 user accounts on fresh os (one of created troubleshoot clean environment) isn't user account related due fonts may not confirmed.  bein...

hi. hp dv7t, u11.10, gnome 3 having problem power management on laptop. when resume suspend, regardless of how power has left, thinks battery die, , shuts down or hibernates. has lot of trouble guessing how time left otherwise (can @ 99% battery life , 15 minutes when live ~3 hours) particularly bad when resume suspend. literally cannot resume without computer plugged in or shut down. suggestions? thanks! mine pops window says power low. not sure how fix this. have seen people have same problem, hope people can fix it. after ten years without issue, our print shop has lately been having problems separations we've been sending.  things have changed i've been upgraded cs5 cs6 , print shop installed new rip software offset press.  in nutshell, problem when export plate single spot color (in case pms black), guy @ print shop says file being read cmyk.  i've double checked inks other spot color unchecked in ink manager , printed pdf, insists he's getting 4 plates , if prints black plate prints screen.   as part of investigation this, tried experiment.  created page in indesign on placed 2 boxes, 1 filled pms blue , other process green.  printed pdf separations pms blue ink selected.  expected, produced single page pdf showing box in black page title of "pantone blue 071".   however, when @ pdf in acrobat, ink manager shows cmyk channels , no pms blue.  if export separations acrobat, generates 4 page pdf 3 blank pages c, m, , y.  square filled pms blue in or...
