uso ubuntu 10.04 y funciona perfectamente, solo hay una cosa que me intriga un poco y es que cuando hago una imagen de respaldo usando clonezilla, siempre me indica que falla el conteo de inodes y de sectores, le doy que los corrija y la imagen se realiza sin mas problemas. si arranco con un livecd y luego ejecuto sudo -i fsck -a /dev/sda1 y me sale la siguiente leyenda ·"recuperando el fichero de transacciones" y luego me indica que está limpio. . este fenómeno se presenta siempre después de usar ubuntu, es como que ubuntu borra el fichero de transacciones. también noto que luego de usar el fsck desde un live, cuando arranco ununtu hace un nuevo chequeo y al parecer es este chequeo el que causa el problema, ya que si luego realizo un fsck desde un live, me vuelve mostrar el fallo de conteo de inodes y de sectores, es como que la herramienta de fsck de ubuntu no está bien. fsck puede tener bugs p...

recently replaced old redhat server new machine installed latest ubuntu server version. samba share made on new server. transfer of files client pc's server 20 times slower before. when transfer files between 2 client pc's in same network goes fast. i'm not ubuntu expert, did other installations , never had problems network or network cards. works automatically. configuration of machine is: motherboard: intel dp55wb pci-e/pci onboard network 1gb processor: intel i7-870 2930 mhz tried things within ubuntu, didn't help. so, thought, leave it, disable onboard network card in de bios , put network card in machine. tried 2 basic network cards (realtek). put them in pci-slot in machine , can see in bios machine noticed there new hardware in machine. in ubuntu network cards not found. there no eth0 when ifconfig. think strange because cards automatically visible in ubuntu. ideas or suggestions. hardware problem, corrupt motherboard or bios setting...

i have seen solutions in past , wonder cc upgrade due out today if problem solved. macpro intel, latest ml , cs6, did nice project in ppcs^ , sent audtion cs6. multitrack, fixed audio needed correcting, saved it, exported out stereo mix , 5.1 , exported pp. pp acting little slow , closed out audition.  when went play new stereo mix , 5.1. found missing quite bit.  mistake on part. when tried open audition, hang. tried again shift key went new sequence.  wouldn't remember previous one. closed it. found newly modified(fixed) called "sequence 06.xml.sesx" , tried open that. still hang , not open. saw bug fixes require making text file, deleting preferences,  wonder if brand new audtion(cc7?)would fix issues , should wait?  took quite bit of work client's mistakes taken care of in video , want final mix, without destroying work.   what might best fix? if ask nicely , he's not busy suitespot might able take @ .sesx file , tell problem might be. i purchased following netbook: samsung n150 plus 1.66ghz 250gb 10.1-inch netbook (refurbished) comes win7 starter, , in middle of installing 11.10 dual boot. @ window asking whether replace win7, opted instead partition editor. , default settings appear, divide hdd 4 partitions of type ntfs, respective sizes sda1 (windows recovery environment loader) 16 gb, sda2 (win7 loader) 104 mb, sda3 104 gb, sda4 128 gb. partition setting ubuntu partition, , why isn't designating type ext3 or ext4? you have decide partition use purpose, manual partitioner asks set mount point partitions 1 mount point set "/" system partition. same goes filesystem, choose 1 want use. have no idea why default ntfs on system (unless it's existing ntfs partition , didn't check box format partition...), offered ext4 default me. edit: unless edited partition layout yourself, partitions see ones already existing on compute...

i have adobe media encoder cs5.5 windows 7.  possible save video (i saved uncompressed avi after effects) animated gif transparency in (eg. black=transparent)? i have virtualdub 1.9.11 don't see transparency option in that. it's web i'd normal web background show in black (ie. should transparent) parts of gif. create animated gifs using photoshop. can import video photoshop , use file > save web command create animated gif.
