hello all, , sorry if isn't right thread :s it's not "newbie" question trying dual-boot ubuntu 11.10 (win 7 64bit native) , in sleep deprived state deleted "odd looking" partition secondary hdd thinking virus. of course, games i'd installed drive somehow caused os f###ed point comp doesn't think there os @ all. thought no big deal recovering testdisk hasn't found anything. did full search took several hours nothing has appeared. nothing has been written hdd since deleted partition (to knowledge. virus?). further info: - win 7 installed ssd, partition deleted on secondary hdd. have 2 hdds , 1 ssd total. - keep getting message in ubuntu "hard disk problems detected" pops hundred times in row, , says ssd "being used outside design parameters" possibly because it's ssd? or maybe source of problems? - running ubuntu 11.10 micro-sd usb, optical drives won't appear in bios (partly why thought had...

sometimes, when pull dashboard , start typing, letters don't work. no matter how many times hit letter on keyboard, nothing happens. problem intermittent, though, , if close , re-open dashboard, works. also, i've noticed in chromium, blanks in forms stop taking input altogether. if switch programs , go it, works again. i'm not sure if these 1 or 2 issues. neither unworkable, they're both extremely aggravating. in case hardware-related issue, i'm using toshiba satellite p755. appreciate suggestions! use external usb keyboard see if problem internal keyboard. win 7, prpro cs6 i have video of person speaking on layer 1. i putting slides on layer 3, white background slide on layer 2. i go 0% opacity 100% capacity on first 15 frames "fade in" these layer 2/3 elements, 100% 0% in last 15 frames "fade out"   this works great. easy long these "slide" elements standard lengths. 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 8 seconds, etc. when these standard lengths, create preset fade-in/out @ appropriate lengths, drag , drop on elements on layer 2 , 3, , voila - works , have slides fade in , out.   the challenge have time slides video, move adjust them various lengths.   so, here doing. 1. drag elements media browser timeline. default 5 seconds each. 2. drag preset onto them "5 second fade in" goes 0% opacity 100% opacity in 15 frames. 3. adjust length of clips whatever length fits context of video. 4.
