Graphics card recommendation

hi all,

so got mac replace old pc, it's not brand new it's second hand mac pro 2x2.26 ghz quad (2009).

it came nvidia gt120 512mb, i'm going upgrade graphics card , wanted recommendations people know stuff.  ideally i'd spend maybe around 300$ card, what's best can around price range?

 

i'm going use video , sound editing, color grading , of course after effect compositing in cs6.

should go nvidia or ati?

is quadro 600 good? (it's not super expensive , supports cuda right?)

should pc cards flashed mac?  , if model fit?

if in position card get?

 

also i'm planning on using ssd cache only.  increase performance of system lot?  128gb ssd enough knowing use cache purposes?

if want open gl accelerated rendering in after effects of ray traced rendering feature have go nvidia. recommended graphics cards on adobe site , there dozens of threads on forum, great links card comparisons. i'd little research , come specific questions.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
