IE crashes when closing, doesn't happen with Reader add-ons disabled

i'm testing out adobe reader v11.0.2 before installing computers @ school.  seems working fine.  internet explorer on test computer crashes every time try close it.  while trouble-shooting error, turns out problem adobe reader add-on.  when disable it, ie closes fine.  when re-enable reader add-on, ie starts crash again.

 

os: vista business 32-bit

ie: 8

 

need other info?

what kind of pdf viewing? can provide url or sample pdf?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
