Photoshop Trial not installing - Windows 8

hi all,

 

i've tried downloading photoshop cs6 trial using adobe downloader suggested.  download completes not install.  downloaded adobe support advisor , quotes, "cpsid_82829s1: "a restart pending," bootstrapper error has occurred."

 

i have restarted computer advised on http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-error-messages-bootstrapper-cs5.html doesn't resolve issue , searched inprogress registry key suggested (it isn't present).

 

how can installation work?  i've downloaded twice has caused me exceed monthly download allowance , i'm running ultra-slow broadband until 5th may!

 

there doesn't seem support win 8 - not supported?

 

why oh why can't download straight rather using installer?!

could sorts of causes. start, check task manager active msiexec.exe, setup.exe processes , similar , terminate them. likewise, shut down updater processes googleupdater , on. check windows update status. may have notifications there mandatory updates need run.
