Thread: 2 Nics, 2 domains, DNS setup help

i have server sits between 2 separate domains. 1 our internet facing, other our secure side. server sits in between our backup server running bacula. backup server has 2 nics. 1 assigned each domain. have backup server check names against each domain's dns. new linux , have been getting on tutorials , not, can not seem find on this. if add them resolve.conf, of requests go through default nic instead of checking both of them. may have setup wrong well.

mind posting example of how accomplish this?

in resolv.conf not work?
thought when based on name
try nameserver fail , try b.

dont know if somehow have security implications guessing work.

think better way may host own dns , have name resolution way ?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
