my old desktop has stopped booting,i tried out ubuntu , highly considering installing it,am right in saying can install 4.4gb of ubuntu goodness onto flash drive , transport entire ubuntu o.s pc via flash drive?

but cannot copy over. not work (trust me tried myself , learned hard way). if want system image can install on multiple pcs check out remastersys. backup program compresses entire install bootable .iso (note cannot compress more ~ 18 gb total) can make live usb using self-made iso , install everywhere else want. there new application in dash called "release install" start installation process. if not find it, can start installation process manually command

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
