Thread: Gnome 3 Panel Questions

hi all,

updated ubuntu 11.10. didn't unity reverted gnome classic setup.

please see attached image. 2 things:

1) want move icons on panel manual positions. when alt+right click on them , drag them, lock positions. wasn't case old gnome.

2) want classic 3 menu setup: applications, places, , system. right now, have applications , places.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
