Thread: Gnome 3 Wireless notifications driving me crazy!!

i'm liking new gnome desktop, it's sleek , looks cool, i'm having problem gonna make me switch if can't solve it. use usb adaptor connect internet, means there 2 modems on computer when plug in. problem when connect internet provider this, original laptop keeps trying connect network can find , pops time notifications disable i'm doing. ridiculous , can't turn off modem without turning of entire wireless network.


suggestions, or can turn off notifications?

can identify built-in modem or adapter want disable? blacklist driver system not recognize it. open terminal , run command

lspci | grep -i net
. post output here.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
