i scan slides, negatives etc. 8800f canoscan in microsoft.. how go using scanner in ubuntu ?. zsane image scanner program not recognise scanner.

there no linux drivers available scanner (check: http://support-au.canon.com.au/p/sea...nload&filter=0 , http://www.canon.co.uk/support/consu...ownload&page=1) sane shows hat device supported: http://www.sane-project.org/sane-mfgs.html#z-canon.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
