Thread: Is terminal transparency an X, Awesome or urxvt thing?

i want cool people on internet transparent terminals. read this , did thing said , made .xdefaults file (although if i'm not mistaken that's deprecated) , included urxvt*transparent: true maybe ten other lines , no dice. don't know go here.

technically i'm using gentoo if matters, don't think does.

if using gentoo, should know how this. there 2 kinds of transparency. true transparency, window manager supports compositing or there separate compositor , native transparency or fake transparency.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
