Thread: Is there a standalone codec update package?

i've got install codecs on bunch of ubuntu 10.04 , 10.10 machines. there standalone update package needed codecs without having download , install them separately? thanks.

all installed packages cached in /var/cache/apt/archives. save copy of packages install offline. create script such "sudo apt-get install <list_of_packages>" , run on each machine.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
