Thread: No keyboard input accepted on login screen

hello all,

i'm using version 11.04 , login screen no longer accepts keyboard input, or on-screen keyboard input (...to enter password.) fortunately, older member of family has account no password, able access, discover keyboard functions fine within operating system. apparently it's not hardware matter.

come across cause/solution problem?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
