Thread: So, somehow the start menu took away the "apps" button...

i'm using ubuntu 11.10 in netbook , far, i've been happy it. however, few minutes ago, restarted , somehow start menu took away "apps" button. instead of 4 buttons "shorcuts" "apps" "files" , "music", there three, , apps gone!

how fix this? installed updates btw , working right out of box when installed few days ago.

was "apps" on dock?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
