Transitioning 1 mo membership to 3 mo from Amazon. Problems?

i've had month-to-month membership cs, , purchased 3 month amazon in order save money. thought amazon purchase email me product keys, etc., appears they're sending tangible card in mail (what year in?!)

 

so, need know if simple upgrade or transition, or if have speacial install "new" product. can't have downtime.

 

additionally - absolutely love if explain having pay tax stuff. there no brick-n-mortar adobe stores (although know tax situation change our politicians) and, paying software doing sake of "reselling" designs (heace, it's should tax-exempt.
