Trying to use a trial version of Indesign

i downloaded trial of indesign cs6 not helpful can't use it. tried download updates try out digital publishing features , error saying server not responding or firewall. i've looked firewall issues , don't think this. other suggestions bit disappointed won't able trial it.

try using different browser updates if updates failing you.  if installation not working, possible machine not compatible application

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
