Edit Object then saving back causes the object to move??

hi,

 

i'm using acrobat x 10.1.6 updated today. when editing pdf documents right clicking selecting "edit object", usual illustrator window pop up, change colour or whatever, save, acrobat, , object in question moves! has started happening , have been using acrobat daily in job, prepress operative, since acrobat 7 professional , never had issue.

 

please advise causing object move?! have re-installed acrobat today , re-updated , no change. have several colleagues on various versions of acrobat ranging 9.5.3 10.1.6 cannot replicate issue, on same pdf file?

 

many in advance.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
