InDesign ignores range after updating linked Excel document

please help,

 

i linked excel file data indesign. placed them "tabbed text" - sheet 1, range b1:b2.

when update excel file , link indesign ignores range , instead places whole table. (starting a1)

i editing styles bug seems ruin entire workflow. there way fix this? have many things need link , can not devide hundred excel files.

 

thanks help.

 

edit: found out happens if place frames have created copying other frames (or frames defined master). there fix or that?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
