Thread: Alternating use of eth0 and eth1

i have 1 b44 ethernet interface on laptop , 1 b43 wifi interface. disable wifi when @ home , use wired connection.

1 time wired interface eth1 , after boot eth0 , keeps changing time.

annoying since monitor inteface using conky , in way miss information loading of eth0 or eth1 interface.

how can force eth0 time?

caused using both ipv4 , ipv6? have switched off ipv6 (no support in usr8054 anyhow) , during couple of boots seems use eth0?

watch during week.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
