Thread: Ambiance theme overrides custom GIMP theme

i'm trying change theme in gimp 2.7.4. downloaded 2 gtk2.0 themes , placed 1 of theme files in /home/me/.gimp-2.7/ folder , different 1 in /usr/share/gimp/2.0/ folder , attempted load them keep seeing default ambiance theme.
tried loading them using unity, gnome-shell, regular gnome , no luck :/ know ubuntu using gtk3.0 can't find documentation how effects gimp. i'm trying develop new gimp theme, information crucial.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
