Thread: Connected, but no data is flowing

i have ubuntu 11.10 on desktop pc. bought asus usb-n13 wireless adapter today. plugged in , connected, though connected router, programs unable reach website. recognise there internet connection, can't anything. running pretty bare bones version of 11.10 ubuntu (w/o updates, comes installation package). beforehand.


addition: connected internet - pc has been assigned ip. think might permissions issue of sorts (as in if there firewall or something).

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
