Thread: gufw on ubuntu 10.04, how to control programs?

ubuntu10.04
i've installed gufw. read, best use deny in , outgoing,
, allow outgoing connections programs, should have
internet access.
how give program internet access?

fx. if settings deny both outgoing , incoming connections, firefox doesn't work.
how set firefox outgoing connection?

, other programs should have outgoing permissions?

thanks.

i never deny outgoing connects. see not harm in them. deny incoming connections in general , open ports, if need them.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
