Thread: How to use Squid as Proxy and Cache Only

hello there,

using squid proxy , cache server installed on ubuntu.
want make such environment traffic passes through proxy server(squid) , pass through our company router.
mean caching , proxy m using squid 1 lan cable just.

how can make setup ?

note: squid not gateway server, used cache , proxy , pass traffic cisco router

there couple of options.
or intercept traffic on cisco , redirect squid server.
other option use wpad , other autoproxy config.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
