Thread: HP p6754y / RT 3090 issues

greetings,

have been reading threads , trying different work arounds last week so. cannot seem rt3090 connect wireless lan in house. have hp p6754y desktop computer. ubuntu install 11.10, , fresh.

here's specific description of happens:

boot computer (dual boot w/ windows 7) in ubuntu. computer detects wireless card , surrounding access points. data hotspot stored, system asks me input wifi password anyway. system never authenticates. puts me in endless loop of asking me wpa2 key, trying authenticate, fail, repeat.

if there particular logs or commands useful, please advise , respond promptly.

weeks, have not been able card connect. 30 seconds ago, out nowhere, , no reason, connected ap.

????


edit: after reboot, before. no connection.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
