Thread: Mysterious Conky Issue

hi everyone, longtime (x)ubuntu user here. have had same conky setup working 3 years , of sudden decided crap out on me. have startup script loads 2 conky instances, 1 system monitoring , to-do list , google calendar events. when restarted computer today, neither conky instance worked. tried running conky either configuration file , output:

code:
ahmed@ahmed:~$ conky -d -c /home/ahmed/.conkyrc conky: /home/ahmed/.conkyrc: 30: no such configuration: 'on_bottom' conky: /home/ahmed/.conkyrc: 63: no such configuration: 'border_margin' conky: use_spacer should have argument of left, right, or none. 'no' seems form of 'false', defaulting none. conky: /home/ahmed/.conkyrc: 89: no such configuration: 'xmms_player' conky: forked background, pid 2354 ahmed@ahmed:~$ conky: desktop window (3200095) subwindow of root window (ad) conky: window type - override conky: drawing created window (0x2200001) conky: drawing double buffer
similarly, when load /.conky_todo, other instance (after killall-ing conky), exact same thing, character character. nothing shows on desktop in either scenario. can provide both configuration files upon request, since output identical no matter i'm inclined believe issue has nothing configurations. means i'm confused right now. furthermore, lines 89, 30, , 63 have nothing relevant output--eg, line 60 has nothing 'border_margin'. case both files. thoughts?

edit: problem solved stealing someone's conkyrc , copying on unique text before. no idea why worked.
