Thread: Removing unused partitions


hello all, remove old swap partition no longer used. in attached screenshot, can see gparted, , partition, /dev/sda5/, remove.

problem is, when try remove it, message saying:

please unmount logical partitions having number higher 5

question is, how do this? , safe this?

to delete must first unmount used swap. rightclick on swap partition /dev/sda7 (you can see small key next it) , choose unmount dropdown menu. can proceed deleting it.

edit: may need boot live cd unmount it
