Thread: Top panel loads double icons after booting.

does have solution little problem?

when booting laptop (compaq presario m2000 series) of aplet icons in top panel eg wireless/battery/speaker etc load , displayed twice. it's happens one, battery icon or speaker. not happen every time , reboot solve issue.

not devastating in terms of functionality annoying none less.

to save rebooting every time happens run in terminal if still running 10.10

gconftool --recursive-unset /apps/panel && killall gnome-panel

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
