Thread: unable to record sound in recordmydesktop

i able record sound in sound recorder, not in recordmydesktop. tried procedures in sticky threads. seems fine, no sound input. tried possible (eight) combinations, enabling , disabling 3 sliders mic, , 2 capture (why 2?) sliders in alsa. audio device in gui recordmydesktop default. sound quality box cheked (i tried unchecking too). tried running command line. problem?
