Thread: Would buying a new computer solve flash issues?

hello,
have old pc pentium 4 processor, 1 gb of ram, , old graphics card, , flash games on facebook pretty slow. i'd know deal flash , linux. i've read other threads each had different opinions. mean how speed of processor influence, or amount of ram, or graphics card or fact "flash bad on linux"? thinking of buying new computer despite these problems since father "windows guy" , i'd continue make him use ubuntu not want buy new computer , having switch windows because flash not optimized linux (he doesn't know runs smoother on windows because have ubuntu on computer). in other words, if new computer still same problems going blame ubuntu , switch windows.
hope can answer questions.
way, thinking of building computer , choosing "ubuntu compatible parts", tips on appreciated too.
in advance

flash should work best with:

1.6 ghz dual core or better. (2.1 ghz single core if can have 1 core.)

graphics card suffice. however, it's dependant on flash developer's codebase. flash devs use sloppy methods , un-optimized stuff lying around. also, if used fireworks post-processing effects, etc. you're going have bigger problem.
