Thread: Yet another preseed/late_command question

hi,

trying use preseeding in order manage automated installation of ubuntu 10.10 .
after getting installer using seed file, including 'answers' , installing remote lan repository , etc - still can not commands listed after
preseed/late_command (and preseed/early_command matter) running.

preseed file ends this:
d-i preseed/late_command string in-target touch /tmp/lfile;
tried:
d-i preseed/late_command string touch /target/tmp/lfile;
both , without semi-colon.

worth, *_command directive did manage running, partman/early_command.

ideas ?
(please don't harsh if it's silly )

small update:
under /var/cache/debconf/config.dat preseed/late_command marked template: debian-installer/dummy.

knows can cause ?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
