DW-MX-04 Drop-down menus won't work.

i'm using dreamweaver mx 2004 (have been several years, know way around it).  want create drop-down or fly-outs menu's consolidate page links categores in order reduce number of link tabs have on each page.  i've been able create menu's needed (using: tag chooser\ behaviors\ show pop-u menu), when preview pages in ie, text shows on mouseover text (not on top) despite having text color set black in menu window.  gets worse.  when uploaded page try it, drop down menus don't show @ when hover on main buttons and  javascript errors.

 

can give me assistance on how resolve this?

 

i've checked text color issue using code view editing pane, , matches way have setup in pop-up menu.  that's least of worries if can't them work @ when pages live.

use css menus.  mm rollover menus horrible.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
