Error when trying to "Save for Web"

i, others have same problem in photoshop elements 6 editor when trying "save web". error: 

could not complete export command because of program error

 

i've searched forum, seems no 1 has found solution.

i have new pc windows 7 on it. it's win 7 ultimate 64-bit. i5 processor, 16gb ram , plenty of hd space.

i running photoshop elements 6.

when used same version of photoshop elements 6 on old xp computer, didn't have problem.

installed twain devices:

   wia-hp scanjet 4800 series

the save web preferences sometime corrupted , need rebuilding. try this.

 

with image open in editor click file >> save web whilst simultaneously holding down ctrl , alt keys.

 

you should see pop-up asking if want delete save web prefs. click yes. close elements , re-launch.
