How do I sync video and audio with music?

i'm making film have recorded video , audio 1 device, , have imported premiere elements. want add music project can synced specific video parts. example, 15 minutes film, want specific song play @ same time. problem, since i'm not done importing video, everytime import new video (and/or edit it) before hypothetical 15 minute part, music becomes out of sync. understand it's because i'm changing length of video. want "link" or "sync" (i'm not sure difference between 2 is) music video/audio clips, editing done on earlier clips not move music out of sync specific video want correspond with.

 

i've tried linking video/audio music file, won't let me, "link audio , video" button faded can't click it. i've tried unlinking video , audio, , linking video music, , although lets me that, if add video/audio file before this, still out of sync.

 

i need music stay corresponding video , series of videos.

please consider following in want accomplish:

 

make sure working expanded timeline (see - + slider above timeline)

 

1. if have video , audio clips unlinked , want nudge audio in sync video

for 1 frame nudge, hold down alt key of computer main keyboard , use left or right arrow key 1 frame nudge.

for 5 frame nudge, hold down shift+alt key of computer main keyboard , use left or right arrow key 5 frame nudge.

 

2. if want link video audio, make sure both video , audio file highlighted (selected) @ same time, then

right click highlight , select link audio , video

(note: select both video , audio file both highlighted @ same time, hold down shift key click files.)

 

please road test above , let know if of tips worked , sought.
