i change computer, , looking compact pc. i'd rather not choose laptop, since prefer able use bigger screen, don't have space use tower desktop. current choice dell inspiron zino.

can report how plays ubuntu? in more detail, choice following:
  • dell inspiron zino hd 410
  • cpu amd turion™ ii x2 p540
  • ram 4 gb ddr3
  • video card vga ati radeon hd5450 1gb


worried ati radeon hd5450 video card, since have read ati radeon cards have issues gnome shell, favorite de.

if have experience ubuntu or other linux flavours on zino, or ati radeon 5450 card, please let me know.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
