Thread: Gnome Shell: how to reach applications list without using a mouse


hello all

i've finished month or using unity2d main interface. i'm trying gnome shell installed on 12.04 ubuntu repository. part of personal project understand design ideas behind 'new' interfaces.

see list of applications, currently

  1. tap windows/super/mod4 key bring activities overlay thingy
  2. by default, overlay thingy has windows selected
  3. i click on applications mouse


there way of completing last step using keyboard? see screen grab i'm on about.

your best bet, if i'm understanding properly, add applications menu button here. way wouldn't have use shell overlay.
