Thread: Greenpacket UH235 / MediaTek MT7118 WiMAX Modem & recent kernel

hello,
i'm fan of linux , love using it. so, i'm taking hurdle need take make modem work. please detailed can when suggesting something. it'll great not me whole bunch of users in country using service.

internet modem greenpacket uh235. produced greenpacket , chipped mediatek. though can it's info greenpacket site. it's wimax modem. drivers windows supplied company itself. greenpacket gives driver linux supports upto kernel 2.6.28.
newer linux distros cannot install it's drivers.

in such scenario, i'm unable use latest ubuntu versions independently. i'm using ubuntu 10.10 in virtual machine sucks me.

so, should looking way modify latest kernel somehow add older functionality or sorts. or should try crack open old driver , add more support in it.

if have idea please post because waiting company launch new driver seems waste. several mails users worldwide (that know) have failed generate result.

, i'm dying use new version

in advance

i have been trying reverse windows driver few days.
uses encryption dont understand. may rsa related. if trying reverse may can you.
