Thread: installed 11.10 386 on ASUS eeePC 904HA

after using alt-install disc (it laptop , wanted encrypted hd)
network manager wasnt managing wireless..
network still working
update-manager updated
software-center didnt acknowledge network existed..

found /etc/networking/interfaces had entry wlan0
commented these lines out.. rebooted..
networkmanager managing interfaces expected...
, software center works...

last thing ..
when boot up

error: no video mode activated
computer boots right ...
seems cosmetic.. have seen can stop error making 05_debian_theme non-executable..

got real answer?

try using ubuntu 11.10 livecd see if booting it, system working. if it's working without problem, consider normal installation.
