Thread: problems with network

i'm trying lot of hours connection between laptop home computer there 2 connecting internet through wireless. wan't share directories between them.
i'm searching tutorial explain me how it. till find nothing. didn't know if must use manual ip addresses or can use dhcp , if can in graphical e"edit connections" or mast change /etc/network/interfaces
install nfs-kernel-server, nfs-common , portmap in example given in internet didn't understand wich ip addreess have put in /etc/network/interfaces
ping work between 2 computers , share folders in 2 computers cant see them.
2 computers have ubuntu 10.10 on them

hi install ssh open server on pc can access laptop, give terminal view of pc, can transfer files or directories

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
