Thread: Ubuntu 10.04 LIRC IMON VFD

having no end of problems trying configure lirc work. have read multiple threads, both here , elsewhere, still cannot work. appreciated.

i'm running ubuntu 10.04

here imon device identifer:

code:

lsusb | grep "soundgraph"  bus 005 device 002: id 15c2:ffdc soundgraph inc. imon pad remote controller

i have installed lirc

code:

sudo apt-get install lirc

if configure lirc use "soundgraph imon pad ir/vfd" remote not work. have checked use irw command.

have done further testing try isolate issue(s), using old ms ir receiver substitute imon. gets stranger.
if connect ms ir unit , run

code:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure lirc

this time selecting "windows media center transceiver/remotes (all)" option see commands being passed when run irw. appear lirc functioning @ least...

but, if reboot, irw not commands.
if run

code:

sudo service lirc restart

still not see commands being received irw.

if rerun dpkg-reconfigure restart lirc, see results in irw.

looks have issues both lirc ms recevier , imon.

appreciate can give.
