asking why ubuntu developer make hard in ubuntu 10,11 change log in screen ...and in ubuntu 8 can new laptop hp pavilion dv6 ubuntu 10 , 11 support lan , wireless ,,, linux freedom ...

hope of have answer why ability not exist anymore ......?

because log in screen different one, , doesn't have lot of cusotmisation options yet. looks it's been designed customisable, it's nobody has got around yet.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
