What is the difference between Motion and the Transform Icon

on page 436 of premiere pdf states:

 

animate clip in program monitor

when motion effect selected in effect controls panel, can manipulate clip in program monitor…


1. select clip in timeline panel.

2. 1 of following:

  • select motion effect in effect controls panel.
  • click image in program monitor.
  • click transform icon next motion in effect controls panel


these instructions imply clicking on motion , clicking on transform icon different actions. yet can't differentiate between them. seem 1 , same. different or not?

its same.

some people not know transform icon is, telling them click on word motion easier explain.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
