Thread: Bug: Yellow frames getting stuck in Unity

hi!

i'm having troubles big yellowy frames getting stuck on desktop; see attached image.

told on irc known bug , fixed in 12.04. great! there can right now? it's quite annoying.

haven't been able find information googling , searching in forum, guess don't quite know for. happy pointers.

i'm running freshly installed ubuntu 11.10 on fujitsu siemens laptop. (i guess "unity" i'm running , not unity 2d? how check this?)

there 2 solutions can think of:

1. use unity 2d.

2. use different desktop environment, kde, xfce, , lxde.

looks if running unity 3d, can check running "unity_support_test -p" in terminal. if says yes everything, using unity 3d.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
