Thread: converting images to pdf without quality loss

i converting images pdfs.i use following command

code:

convert page.jpg page.pdf

and combine multiple pdf's generated accordingly command

code:

pdftk 1.pdf 2.pdf output result.pdf

but noticed loss of quality in resulting pdf.is there way can retain quality of pdf i.e. want same quality in pdf image is.
not sure if convert command using imagemagick library there better solution? have 100's of images convert pdf prefer use command line invoking them in shell script.i looking how can retain quality of pdf.is there tool same?

have exact same problem, no matter soft use: openoffice, gimp, convert, etc... , type of image file use (jpg, bmp, xcf...).
find no forum on web gave me answer or satisfying solution.
appreciated!
