Thread: Gateway FX crashes while playing games or watching video on AC power.

i have gateway fx laptop nvidia 9800 graphics card. whenever try play kind of games or watch video, youtube, on ac power, display goes black , sound loops. doesn't happen on battery power though. way out hard reboot. when running windows, solve forcing constant preformance level rivatuner. there anyway can in ubuntu 11.10?

i've fixed it. enabled overclocking tab in nvidia x server settings , lowered speeds. i've been playing morrowind few hours no crash.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
