Thread: HELP! Korg K49 Midi Controller on Ubuntu 11.1
hello,
got korg k49 midi controller , i'm trying working in ubuntu 11.1. i've watched few videos on youtube using midi controllers in ubuntu (there's none specific make/model), , seem using jack. tried jack, i'm not sure if i'm doing correctly, i'm wondering if me. i've tried:
first started jack went connect , alsa tab.
there device called midi-through port 0, nothing showing name of controller, tried that. trying use basic program using amsynth. connect midi-through port 0 output amsynth input. went audio tab , connected amsynth audio playback.
switch on amsynth , mash on keyboard... nothing.
press "audition" button , makes noise, know amsynth working far audio playback.
soooooo, fact jack says "midi-through port 0" instead of "korg k49" leads me believe it's driver issue. missing in jack setup? need download windows drivers korg site , use somehow? pointers in right direction appreciated. thanks!![]()
first of using usb midi device ?
if qjackctl isn't showing particullary midi device in either jack-midi or alsa-midi think have problem. because means there no driver available device.
