i`ve been reading manuals , instructions on web (probably simple?) reason can`t run ddrescue. i`ve booted live cd , situation

i`m trying recover data failing sata disk another, new, 1tb sata disk, apparently can`t ddrescue command syntax right. i`ve tried whole bunch of variations on theme , received 2 kinds of errors,

or, when trying define want logfile on usb stick,

the latter has there spaces in path usb stick? logfile located @ `prompt path`, if no other specified? why there no such file or directory, tried dev/sda or dev/sda1?

have important data backed up, not quite everything. appreciated.

hi best of limited knowledge there 2 available options recover files off hard drive. first option limited because somehow hard drive has been converted dynamic drive.

device boot start end blocks id system
/dev/sda1 1 30401 244196001 42 sfs

windows can understand this. try convert drive normal no guarantee of success use testdisk , photorec recover files.

second option work connect hard drive computer running windows , recover them way.
